JAA CONTRACT NO. C-774

HERLONG RECREATION AIRPORT

                                                                                               

Sealed bids will be received by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 until 2:00 PM local time, May 17, 2012, at which time they shall be opened in the JAA 2^nd Floor Conference Room, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218, for:

 

TAXIWAYS A AND B PAVEMENT REHABILITATION

                                                                             

This project includes the rehabilitation of Taxiways A and B.  The rehabilitation includes milling off the existing asphalt pavement from Taxiways A and B, re-grading/re-compacting the existing lime rock base course, and paving with P-403 plant mix asphalt concrete.  

 

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held at the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administrative Offices, Herlong Airport, 9300 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida, 32221, at 2:00 PM on May 1, 2012.

 

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids.  Contract Bonding shall also be required.  The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding.  Participation in the Disadvantage Business Enterprises Program (DBE) is required.  The goal for this contract is Twelve percent (12%) to be performed by certified DBE firms.

 

This project will be bid as a single contract.  Bid prices may be held for up to 120 days. All bids must be submitted in accordance with Project Manual for Contract No. C-774 which may be examined in the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building Office, or obtained from:

It is the sole responsibility of each prospective bidder to assure that the Office of the Manager, Engineering & Construction, is kept informed of his or her current mailing address, telephone number and fax number.

 

Complete sets of drawings and specifications on CD may be acquired from JACOBS at the above address or may be shipped to the Contractors at cost for mailing or overnight shipping, after 3:00 p.m., April 17, 2012.  Partial sets of drawings and specifications will not be issued.  The shipping cost for the contract documents is not refundable.
