CECIL AIRPORT
WILDLIFE/PERIMETER/SECURITY FENCE
Sealed bids will be received at Jacksonville International Airport, in the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 until 2:00 PM local time, Tuesday, May 29, at which time they shall be opened in the JAA 2nd Floor Conference Room, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218, for:
This project includes the construction of a new security/wildlife fence at Cecil Airport. The scope of this project includes the construction of over 40,000 LF of fencing 10 feet high (including barbed wire), 1,450 LF of fencing 7 feet high (including barbed wire), 21 security gates (1 electrically operated), 10 wildlife ditch crossings, and security warning signage. The fence is to be constructed through some wetland areas (no motorized equipment) The bottom of the fencing will be embedded one (1) foot into the ground to prevent wildlife intrusion.
There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held in the Cecil Commerce Center Conference Center, 13561 Lake Newman Street, Cecil Airport, at 10:00 AM local time, Monday, May 14, 2012.
Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bids will be required to accompany bids. Contract Bonding shall also be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. Participation in the Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Program (DBE) is required. The goal for this contract is ten percent (10%) to be performed by certified DBE firms.
This project will be bid as a single contract. Bid prices may be held for up to 120 days. All bids must be submitted in accordance with Project Manual for Contract No. C-762, which may be examined in the Cecil Airport Facility Manager’s Office, or obtained from:

CDs with complete sets of drawings and specifications may be purchased from The LPA Group Incorporated for $25.00 per set, plus the cost of mailing or overnight shipping, April 30, 2012. Partial sets of drawings and specifications will not be issued. The purchase price for the contract documents is not refundable.
