A number of Jacksonville-area political types will be on hand at Florida State College at Jacksonville Tuesday for the dedication of an Aircraft Services Education Facility.

At the event Jacksonville-based Flightstar Aircraft Services will give a $26,500 check to be used for Aviation scholarships.

The educational facility is a joint project between the Jacksonville Aviation Authority and the college. It will serve as a coating, maintenance, repair and overhaul facility

Those on hand will include Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll, U.S. Rep. Cliff Stearns, state Sen. Stephen Wise, and City Council President Jack Webb.
