Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) Fire Station 56 is located on Cecil Airport just southwest of the tower. This station supports Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) as well as civilian structure response. The fire station has a minimum of two ARFF firefighters 24 hours a day. More ARFF personnel maybe on duty according to flight operations of participating tenants. There are three structural firefighters stationed on the field 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies off the airport.
