Today low fare carrier, Frontier Airlines, announced two new, non-stop destinations for Jacksonville, Fla. Frontier stated that it will begin the only nonstop flights to Austin and Trenton, N.J. in April. This announcement comes before the carrier even begins service at Jacksonville International Airport Feb. 14 with previously announced non-stop flights to Denver. Flights to Cincinnati, Ohio begin in April and flights to Philadelphia and Chicago start in May. Measured by destinations served, Frontier will now be Jacksonville’s second largest carrier. “Even though we have yet to start service, the Jacksonville community has already embraced our unique brand of Low Fares, Done Right,” said Spencer Thwaytes, treasurer for Frontier Airlines. “We are committed to making flying affordable for everyone and to be adding new service here before our first flights have even departed speaks to the early support of the community and our partners here at Jacksonville International Airport. With these two new flights we will now offer low-cost, non-stop flights to six great destinations, making us the second largest carrier in Jacksonville in terms of destinations.”

Beginning in April, Frontier will add new twice weekly flights between Austin and Jacksonville while offering three times weekly departures to Trenton, NJ where travelers will have easy access to New York City and Philadelphia.
