“We’re all extremely proud of our marketing and external affairs teams for working together to earn these distinguished awards,” said JAA Executive Director and CEO Steve Grossman. “They consistently deliver high-caliber marketing programs and community involvement initiatives that successfully highlight Jacksonville International Airport, our three general aviation airports and the Northeast Florida area.”
This year, nearly 50 airports and airport authorities submitted a record 250 entries in the contest, which encompasses categories that recognize work in marketing and public relations, and provides airports the opportunity to be honored for the quality of their work. Awards are distributed in 20 categories ranging from brochures, advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns, newsletters, special events, video and film productions, to social media campaigns and websites. Again this year, communications and marketing professionals from the U.S. and Canada served as judges to review contest entries.
“ACI-NA congratulates the winners of the2012 Excellence in Airport Marketing and Communications Contest,” said ACI-NA President Greg Principato. “Each year, this highly competitive contest provides airports a platform to showcase their best marketing and communications efforts that serve their stakeholders, as well as the traveling public, airlines, and other tenants. It has become increasingly important for airports to convey the message that they are important economic engines within their respective communities.”
