Jacksonville International Airport(JAX) installed a Lactation Suite, designed to offer mothers a private,clean and well-designed space to pump or nurse while traveling through theairport.
The free-standing pod is located justpast security between Concourses A and C. It offers duel seating for a motherand companion, as well as a convenient fold-down table, power outlet for breastpump, mirror, soft lighting and space for luggage and/or stroller.
“We regularly receive inquiries frommothers looking for a private, clean and convenient facility at the airport topump or nurse,” said Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) Customer ServiceManager Bryan Long. “We are happy to accommodate their needs with thisfamily-friendly solution.”
