Clara White’s culinary programs receive much-neededequipment in-time for Thanksgiving holiday

The Jacksonville AviationAuthority (JAA) and Hampton Golf are pleased to announce the donation of morethan 1,000 culinary items to the Clara White Mission, a local nonprofitorganization dedicated to serving the needs of the less fortunate through food, housing and vocational programs.

In October 2013, JAA approveda 10-year lease with Hampton Golf to overhaul and operate Mill Cove Golf Club,a JAA-owned golf course located adjacent to Jacksonville Executive at CraigAirport (JAXEX). As part of the renovation and redesign of the property,Hampton Golf opted to replace all of the culinary and dining equipment insidethe clubhouse kitchen, and thus had thousands of used restaurant items thatwould no longer be needed.

Donated kitchen andrestaurant items ranging from pots, pans and cooking utensils to dishes, glassesand silverware will now be used to support Clara White’s culinary programs, including Clara’s at the Cathedral, a training caf? for students of ClaraWhite’s Culinary Arts Program, and Ashley Street Catering.

"This collaborativeeffort serves as a value to the Clara White Mission and the students enrolledin our Culinary Arts training program,” said Clara White Mission CEO andPresident Ju'Coby Pittman. “The gift of training equipment made by Hampton Golfpositively impacts many of our sustainability efforts such as Ashley StreetCatering and Clara’s at the Cathedral. Their support will promote and affect the quality of life for homelessveterans and low-income students being trained in our culinary arts withvisible and economical results."

“Hampton Golf is proud of ourtradition of giving back to worthy causes in the communities that we serve,”said Hampton Golf President M G Orender. “The Clara White Mission is anoutstanding organization that does so much for our community and the peoplethey touch every day.”
